We had quite a surprise with our Deathwing kill last night (aside from the surprise that we got to kill him at all...thanks to local Feathermoon pally Comma for filling in, and to Scrunggles for helping fill the roster).  We had the Reins of the Blazing Drake drop from Deathwing's chin-cache, and for the first time in my history of raiding my dice didn't totally suck for the roll.  (Also, what is a drake doing in Deathwing's chin.  Did he eat it?)  Here's to hoping more of these drop for us so more of the raid has a fun mount!

Madness of Deathwing was defeated by our raid on Saturday evening.  Thanks to LFR, which has really let us have a good feel of the mechanics, it was not one of the harder fights to master.  Compared to our 90-something wipes to learn normal Ragnaros, this was a pleasant surprise.  (Though, as I have wiped to Madness in every conceivable way in LFR, this was nice.  Really, ever had DW's head crash down to Ysera's platform at 40% for no good reason?  I have.  So this was way nicer.)  Cheers!

Friday evening our raid defeated the Spine of Deathwing encounter!  It was a little shocking to take it down in 3 pulls, though I have had more than enough wipes in LFR to Spine so I think it's karma.  (How can you wipe to Spine in LFR?  Oh let me count the ways...  Seriously.  People find the dumbest ways to wipe in LFR.)  Anyway, hooray!

We had our first kill of Warmaster Blackhorn last Saturday evening!  While we are a bit behind in Dragon Soul, it was well worth the effort and toil of Firelands to get Lokki's legendary completed.  But now we can focus on DS and getting the rest of the place down!  And I will continue my ongoing quest to see if I can ever get the raid to stand together for a boss kill picture, and not like something from Awkward Family Photos...

Congratulations to Lokki on the completion of Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest!  After many, many, many weeks in Firelands, our raid polished off the last of the needed quest items, including the elusive Heart of Flame.  Good work to everyone involved in the long process to create this staff!
